We have depended on Marec/Pride for many years, for both their excellent home-heating-system services & their prompt and courteous heating-oil deliveries. This company's prices are competitive, their expertise is outstanding, and their policies & personnel are truly customer-friendly.
Marec/Pride has always met our home-heating needs and has never let us down.
Some businesses -- especially some of the Big ones -- boast that they 'care most about the customer' while their actual performance renders that claim (to put it gently) rather questionable. THIS local company, Marec/Pride, doesn't brag about it -- but in our experience, their understanding of their customers' particular needs & situations is entirely genuine; and their readiness to 'go the extra mile' to resolve the problem (whatever it may be) is extraordinary.
So, from our experience our advice is: if you'd like to hook up with an outfit which fits that description, go with Marec Heating & Air Conditioning / Pride Fuel Company Inc.

| Comments | It was past time to replace the furnace,circa 1940's, no longer safe and certainly not efficient. After several quotes and recommendations, I am now a very satisfied customer of Marec Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Before "in with the new" however, there comes an "out with the old". Chris and Jose spent the better part of a very hot (80 degrees and humid) Friday breaking down the old dinosaur of a furnace and hauling every last bit of cast iron parts up a flight of stairs and out of the house. The crew of Chris, Jose, Celio, Steve and James showed up bright and early to get started on installing the new furnace along with replacing corroded piping and ductwork. As it turned out, I also had to replace the old hot water heater, which they also were able to take care of the very same day. Piping to the outside of the house had to be re-routed in a more safe manner than existed. This, along with the installation of the hot water heater was going to make for one long day. In conversation with Chris during the day, I mentioned that due to health issues, I feel cold a lot quicker than most people and that we were headed for our first chilly night. I had to leave due to a prior commitment before the guys were done for the day, so imagine how happy I was to come home to a note on the kitchen table telling me "the heat is on"! Chris, thank you so much, I truly appreciated it! Mr. Cook, you must be so proud of your business and the people who work with you, from Jasmine(I hope I spelled that right!) in your office, to the crew I now know, Chris, Jose, Celio, Steve and James. They are all professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would and will recommend your business because now I no longer have to worry about being warm and safe in my house(not to mention the money I will be saving with both high efficiency furnace and hot water heater!) Thank you all again. |

| Comments | We had been having some over temperature problems with a domestic hot water heater that was three years older than its 6 year warrantee period. We took a chance on calling Marec, a local contractor, and talked with Chris who was not only very helpful but had a certain can-do attitude in this voice so we went ahead.It was "Mike" who was assigned to us as the actual installer and he showed up right on the dot timewise. He sized up the situation and went right to work doing an extremely neat and professional job of the installation in about 1.5 hours. It looks great; it works great and the price was highly competitive. I highly recommend this great company. |
